The Komische Oper Berlin derives its name from the French »opéra comique« and stands traditionally for a modern and vivid music theatre, in which musical and scenic activity mutually determine each other. The ensemble of virtuous singing-actors is in the centre of happenings and presents itself with a well diversified repertoire, ranging from Händel up to the 21st century.
